Session Outline

Data Governance is often neglected by business because it is seen as an extra work and extra cost initiative. It is also full of strange words for them, such as: metadata, glossary, linage, critical data elements, etc. While most of the ‘words’ do not directly impact business, they certainly concern about data quality, which is key when we talk about data science, business recommendations, and internal/external/regulation-based reporting. This is where Data Governance plays an important role to support business, ranging from data collection, data rules, critical data elements, and data usage.

Key Takeaways

  • How Data Governance can help business acquires better data quality
  • How business can support Data Governance to complete the necessary governance elements
  • How organization breakdown silos to achieve better Data Governance as the organization’s culture and data quality as the end product
